Blak Origin Moment will open October 11th at the Hunter Museum of American Art, an extension of Anderson’s longstanding explorations of black male identity through the medium of textiles. This exhibition will look at a variety of recent works by Anderson, from his erased Ebony pages to his woven jacquard tapestries.

The monograph Blak Origin Moment is Anderson’s first and created in conjunction with the second iteration of the exhibition at the Hunter Museum of American Art. The book delves into Anderson’s ongoing exploration of the history of black consciousness as he wrestles with the legacies of images, events, and materials.
